Without a doubt 'B'. I've got no problem with an accused terrorist rotting in a manky prison while he awaits trial. 5 years is pittance. He should have been given life.
Equal - one is an indictment on the government and the justice (or lack thereof) system that permitted it and the other is an indictment on our society that worships all the wrong things.
We won't know until we can get the whole story. He may have just pleaded guilty because he has been in jail for five years being tortured etc. We will see in a year when he can talk to the media finally. Nothing about this case is clear cut or reflects well on the US or Australian government.
I went up to Sydney for the Katoomba Easter Convention and a guy up there had been in immigration detention for 5 years. He had definitely done nothing wrong. Thankfully he became a Christian while he is there, despite all the stuff he had to go through and now is in ministry.
