Chelsea Kitchen RIP 1960-2007

Anyone who has been there with me will know how devastated I was to be confronted with a boarded up Chelsea kitchen yesterday during a stroll down Kings Road. Closed down. Finished.

As if that wasn't enough for one week now I read in The Age that Brunetti's is under threat. I can't take it.
.
If Brunetti's closes I'd like to know a) where the inner city trendy lefties are going to buy their coffee b) What reason I'd have to visit Australia c) How many future matches between potential 'Leigh Sampsons and Kate Orchards' will be thwarted.

I blame George Bush.

Where are you going to go for a gammon steak now?

Luckily, you took very atmospheric footage of the night Sandy and I were there with you guys (looking a bit spent from a long day of traveling, looking pensive and playing the air drums, respectively)

This is my very first blog comment - I couldn't resist replying =) See you soon M&A!!

I am absolutely stunned at the closure of Chelsea Kitchen. It was mentioned in a spy novel set in the 1980's I was recently reading. Will have to search deeply to find a reason to visit London now.

Guess there won't be anymore fine dining in Chelsea for you and Spanna anymore!
