So the MP who I'm going to be working for wants me to start on the 26th of March. His current researcher is working on a project that won't finish until then.
This means that I can spend longer in Australia!
Should I go back:
a) 10th March - With Anna, as planned.
b) 19th March - Happy Medium.
c) 22nd March - Stretch it out for as long as possible and still get to a Stag Night in London on the 24th.

If it's ok with Anna, why don't you go back on the 19th of March. It gives us a chance to see a bit more of you, and you still have a few days to adjust and get ready to work.
I agree with Scott. If it's OK with Anna why not stay in Australia for an extra week. A few days rest in UK caring for your lovely wife would be nice before you start work though.

You probably don't get too many opportunities to spend some quality time away from your wife. People will lead you to believe this is a bad thing, however time away is required just as much as time together.
I know many husbands who would kill to be in such a position.
Keep up the good work.
