No Dog

Unfortunately, Anna didn't get me a puppy as I had hoped but I had a great birthday anyway.

Thank you for all the calls, cards & presents. Anna gave me two foot massages, one in the morning (with Sophie and Kate watching on bemused) and one in the evening - she even cooked me a pheasant for dinner!

The day beforehand was 'Mothering Sunday' here in the UK. Sophie & Kate took me to Cath Kidston to buy presents for Anna. They sell all sorts of things in 'vintage floral prints' so we were slightly surprised when told that the pattern we wanted to buy an oven mitt and tea-towel in (to match the other things we already had) was not available because it was 'last seasons'.

I was slightly surprised that the Czech pig a few posts back ruffled some vegetarian feathers. For those who like bacon apparently it's a six monthly affair. I'm hoping to join in on the next one.

Speaking of pigs, today I patted Winnie the Pig. She was in Westminster to join the protests over the pittance pig farmers get paid for pork. I tried to convince Greg to have his photo taken with the pig along with loads of other MPs but he was wary. I thought this bashful until I went down to see the pig being photographed with MPs. Of the two I saw it pushed one of them over and left slobber on the others trousers around the crutch!

Pheasant! Wow, aren't you guys the toffy brits.

I mentioned you to Adrian L today & he said "Ah, Matt! God bless him! But his views are just so right wing!"

Um, is there really such thing as vegetarian feathers??
