This post won't entirely make sense to people in the UK.....local knowledge is required.
This is gold! I am currently staying in Clifton Hill. In the last 24 hours I have:
Been to Collingwood Children's Farm & Artists Community where I met a chap who I studied physics with many years ago. He is now studying Social Work - 10 minutes of chatting reaped two mentions of Sustainable Development, one of Aboriginal Welfare and 'Corporate' (with negative connotations) was mentioned twice!
Had a shower with a bucket under my feet to collect water.
Walked to the local cafe for breakfast, vegetarian of course.
Been to the Cinema Nova to watch an arthouse film.
I'm also aiming to visit Piedemontes in North Fitzroy for some organic tofu and eat at the Veggie Bar on Brunswick Street before I leave.
At this rate by the time I return to the UK I'll be deconstrucing texts that don't fit with my view of the world, marching against the war and looking for a job with the Lib Dems!
